CAMP HAS A BLOG!!!! (Screams of overwhelming joy and excitement!!) Welcome to the 21st century, you say? Why, thank you! I’ve been enjoying the blog of a sweet friend’s camp for months now and though: Hey, we could do that! There has been so much going on here at camp this year that we figured we should get it all down on paper (er.. screen) to share it with our friends! We plan on sharing our camp newsletters here during the terms and sharing some fun pictures/videos/randomness/… here on a pretty regular basis. If there is anything in particular that you’d like to hear about, just shoot me an e-mail and I’ll see what I can do. (sarak [at] vistacamps [dot] com)
Our sweet neighbor, Hunt, TX, is celebrating it’s Centennial this weekend and we were invited to be in the parade. HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY HUNT! While digging around for some old pictures to help with the Centennial, I’ve found some AMAZING photos dating back to the 1920’s of Rio Vista in its early years. It’s such a gift and a blessing to be able to work at a place that has touched so many lives over the last 90 years! I know that if you’re reading this, it’s because you share a love for this magical place sitting along the banks of the Guadalupe. I’d love to hear some of your stories about camp. Favorite memories, things that changed your life, counselors or campers that you’ve kept up with over the years. You can share below in the comment section or e-mail them to me at sarak [at] vistacamps [dot] com. Here are a couple of the pics I found. Have a fabulous weekend and we’ll see you next time.
